MINE FOREVER

http://MINE FOREVER BY PERPETUAL

If poetry makes you mine forever
My love I’ll unleash poetic demons on mankind
Enslaving every monster I find
I’ll rise until days gone
If only it makes you mine

If poetry makes you mine
If poetry will bond strongly our love
Who cares if I rhyme or not
If only it’ll make you mine forever
Then I choose to take that part

MEMORIES, LONG FORGOTTEN (tales of the past)

http://MEMORIES, LONG FORGOTTEN (tales of the past) BY CHIOMA AND FRANK O.

Behold memories, long gone
Forgotten forever like they never occurred
Our lovely days shared
Shall always be part of me
Never shall they be forgotten
Protected by every pictured moment
Veiled from the prying eyes of loss,
I refuse to let go

I have forgotten many things in my life
Our friendship tales, excluded
Like the romance in movies
The endless play of love
Dancing to the rhythms of the Asian Koel
We placed steps that shall be traced

Every special moment
Kept in place by our minds
Brought before us like pictures
Cloned by special moments
We laugh and our hearts ache
Wishing that it be as it was before
We can’t wish to go backwards
Every moment of tears and weakness Becomes a moment for us to laugh

Out of mind is out of sight
Absence does not make the heart grow fonder
We lack the ability to wait long
Awaiting the day you quit
You are getting replaced
Before you look over your shoulder to say bye
Your loss, somebody’s gain

I send my signals
I still cherish what we shared
Have you heard a wolf howl
It alerts other wolves of it territory
Making sure no one trespasses
To send a warning at first
I send only invitations

With fear of moving on
On your way to establish a new connection
Old memories slide away
The most popular ones, lonely
While I stay bent storing memories
Creating a means to be weak
I choose not to discard those times.

DAZZLING PEN CREW ANTHOLOGY 010 “JUST IMAGINE”

http://DAZZLING PEN ANTHOLOGY 010 "JUST IMAGINE"

ANTHOLOGY 010

“JUST IMAGINE”
———————–

Just imagine
The troubled life of a student
World filled with hate
Life configured with stress
Approaching the caves of struggle
You hardly find a smile
The rush to school
The aches after various strokes of the lash
He runs home to meet chores
And yet no rest
Forced to be great amidst harsh trails

FRANK O.

———————

You have to read and hustle
Even if it’s for a while
With temptations all around
This isn’t what they told you
Said it’s fun, easy and cool
Now you’re the one looking like a fool

PRINCESS

————————

Just Imagine your words are swords
Unraveling the secrets of life
And a freedom song to those bound by unnumbered cords
Just Imagine your face was a daylight drive
Putting a smile on the faces of lords
It could be a heating strife
Covered in the warm cold of muds

Life derailed me,
Thinking i was left alone
Eventually,my pain turned
and my life became a star,so beautiful
I shine bright in darkness
And my hope was restored
Just imagine how life turned for me.

IMMACULATE
______________

Just imagine
The smiles you see everyday are ripped off
And you can see behind the white wall of 32 bricks
You could see the pain and suffering
You could see what haunts the child
The man and the woman who
Smiled at you.
Just imagine if you could understand.

PRINCESS

————————
Just Imagine you wield the powers that be
If you could shut your eyes yet see
Just Imagine you had a way
A single pill to turn the pain away
If mountains could sway to your voice
Just Imagine that the world was yours.

IFECHI

— — — — — — — —
Just imagine the cruelty of the gun
Stealing life by sounds
Itching a finger to embrace the fast trigger
Deceased eyes goes funny
Allowing the earth embrace life again
Just imagine a sorrowful triumph
One that came with waterfalls
And left condolences replying you with a two faced mindset
The devil discussed with a depressed mind
And the gun sounded cruel once again

SOM-BOI RAY

—————————–

Just imagine what life is all about
Live and die
Laugh and cry
Celebrate and mourn
Just imagine how the world would look if there is no death, sorrow, and mourning
Just imagine how life would be if the world is as sweet as honey.

UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS

http://UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS, A POEM BY IMMACULATE AND FRANK O.

Like normal friends,
People who have trust and love for each other
Day and night we walk along
Our hearts beat with ease
We played in a particular order.

Like siblings, we did a lot together
Never failed to wipe away tears
And replace it with laughter
There was no room for pain
We took every step thinking of each other’s gain.

I trusted them,
cheerfully ceased their troubles,
tame their anger and heard their plea
Just like I knew they would do for me
If ever I was down.

Their words were written, so thoughtful
but their pretence became crystals clear
and their love a fake lie
I was buried in doubt.
I have long been deceived.

I was a meek lamb
Shameful, I was made a fool
Blinded by their act of pretence
they left, I stayed waiting for nothing
Like I was trapped in a brainwashed pool.

I should have known,
Their minds were dirty and poisoned.
So dirty, they cut me down like a tree
That’s just who they are
Covered in a clothing they don’t deserve.

Their love wasn’t real,
I have been deceived all these while
I was used, both body and soul
For what purpose, I am yet to file.
famished of friendship.

You never make it past them
Just within their reach
To be pulled in or out, when they so please
With the belief that they have you at heart
Be ready to get destroyed

All these while with them
I have learnt a lot
their support are flies, they are never constant
Making unsure promises
They destroyed the trust I took long to build.

They are perfect judges,
Some loaves of convincing words in hand,
they judge you with poor ratings
While my body sips pain daily
Strolling in a confused land.

They have created a mark, I won’t forget
I never knew my heart was fragile
I beseech you, call me not again
You played with my feelings
For the cup of agony is full.

LONELINESS

http://LONELINESS. A POEM BY JOYCE AND ISAAC

A cruel instructor you are
Forcing me to always ponder
On things that didn’t matter
You’re a dark light flicker

You made it seem like no one cared
You spoke to the sick on folly bed
Left me alone to face the things I feared
But I’m glad you made me do things I’d never have dared

You got me lost in the feeling of emptiness
Made me see light in thick crystal darkness
Got me buried in the sands of worthlessness
Made me feel like life had lost its sweetness

Cause there was none to give it taste
I resigned helplessly to fate
But you taught me to look beyond my present state
And ignore the sight of time and date

You made me go extra miles to gain attention
Since it seemed like no one was looking in my direction
I did this without treading with caution
But thanks, you paid for my imagination

I eventually went far beyond my limits
Just in order to get unending plaudits
But in the end, you made me realise that even the plaudits weren’t worth it
And who caused it?

Oh loneliness! You were the only companion I had,
Whose greater job was to make me sad
Your shoulders were made of thick pad
Ready to absorb every tear that fell
All alone, I passed through hell
And what I saw there, only I could tell.

MONEY

http://MONEY A POEM BY SOMADINA AND LINDA E C

And I have thought several times,
And to my realization, there is this man that controls the world.
He appears in many attire and styles

In every part of the world, people serve him.
Both big and small old and young,
and also rich and poor hustle for him

Then this question seize to leave my mind,
Who could this man be?
He is needed and important in any aspect of life.
In any occasion or event, he’s the chief conner stone.
And without him, life can be miserable and difficult.

To some extent, I stop thinking and listen deeply
Then a voice from above said to me,
I am a medium of exchange called money.
I have many other names in different places.
At the church am called tithe

At working place am known as salary,
At school am regarded as fee,
In marriage am called dowry and bride price,
And am sure you can’t shake life without me

My story started with just me from mere paper to one with key to attraction
Am the ugly scene that attracted tourist

The rich gets too cunning to have me
For with me their days look funny
While i got scarce in the hand of the poor
Who ran rain and sunny just to embrace me, yet i watched them go sober, hungry, and bonny

Am what stole love from you
Am what couldn’t cage death
Am what gave mortals power
Am your judge, men knew no law

Am a shape shifter
Today am just in your minds
Tomorrow am inclusive in your thoughts
The day next am cuddled in your hands
And next am vanished, and their goes the cycle

Am your liberation in the hands of poverty
Am your forged ego
I could still be the name behind your property
The Igbo call me “ego”
The Hausa call me “kwudi”
The yoruba call me “owo”
The English tamed me “money”.
